Bathtime fun!

Last night at bathtime I decided to put Austin in the tub with Logan. Now last time I did this, Austin took a nose dive for the bubbles, so I have to keep a hand near him. But this was hilarious! Austin was responding to Logan laughing and making noises to him. I love how Austin looks at Logan...with such awe and adoration! It is kinda long, but enjoy!

4 more to go!!!

As most of you know, my dear and sweet husband has been helping us countdown the deployment by sending me flowers every two weeks. Yes it can be seen as a waste of money, but it truly helps the time go on and keeps the romance going. Well, when I opened the door for the flowers this week, I couldn't help but laugh. At first I didn't really see what it was, but then I got a good look....

To explain why he sent me a very large Daiquiri glass that had two straws and fake strawberries...he was talking about going on our vacation this December and relaxing! It is too funny though...what am I going to do with a large daiquiri glass? The flowers are gorgeous as I have told him over and over, however the Lilly smell does remind me of hospital rooms. Only four more bouquets to go!!! Thank you my dear husband!

More and more babies!!!

I can't believe that it was about 2 weeks ago that I learned that one of my dear friends was pregnant! Now, this just isn't any ordinary pregnancy...I have known her since her and her husband have been married in CA and we are again on the same side of the country! She has listened to my stories about my kids and patiently waited while me and many of her other close friends had babies. She is an inspiration to me and waiting on the Lord. I went to go visit her this past weekend and got my first photo with mom and baby! It was fun to be there with her and she brought back many memories that I forgot about when being pregnant....like wanting to eat a horse every couple of hours! I was the same way Casey...don't worry, it all goes to your baby...I promise! She is due March 30th and that time can't come soon enough! So glad for her and her husband!

I was going to put my hand on her belly, but I know that she will have plenty of that the next 7 months...She is going to be a hot momma!

What we have been up to....

The month of August has come and is almost over. I have never looked forward to the fall so much! Only about 10.5 more weeks until mike comes home. He is starting to get the sense of the end of deployment on his end with the turnover coming up and getting ready for that. Wish we had something like that here for us military wives! I guess just getting ready for them to come home is enough...cleaning and beautifying ourselves right? This past weekend we went and visited some great friends of ours in NC...I got my girl time, Logan got his guy time with her husband, and Austin got held and cuddled all weekend. It was perfect! Austin has been showing very small signs of wanting to crawl. He hasn't gotten up on his knees yet when on his tummy, but lunges forward when sitting up. I have some video that i have to get up for you all from my cell phone. Not much else going on, I have been working on painting some end tables and doing the lawn/weeding and what not. I will have some before and after pictures hopefully soon for you all! Slowly but surely the projects get done!

A verse that has been sticking by me lately and showing up all over for me is Galatians 6:9 "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up" With parenting, disciplining, guiding, and being a wife/mom in general that has helped me keep going. Hope it encourages you today~~

I went and visited a dear friend in NC...we had a blast with the kiddos and Dakota...their cute doggie (more pics to come of that)
Logan immediately wanted to sit in the stroller and then he told me to put Austin in there. It was a doozy to put together, but I felt very empowered afterwards! I can do anything...right? HAHA Austin kept reaching for Logan's toys and touching Logan...it was pretty funny

The latest flowers that mike sent. And you can see how we keep him "around" even though he is gone with the pictures in the background.

Trying on some sun glasses...he really didn't like it though.

I was doing some cleaning and opened up mike's lunch box for the first time since he left...can't believe i didn't think to check it before! This is after 4 months! The smell was even worse and there was mold growing on the fork that wasn't even touching anything! I should have saved it for him huh?

Love the dollar puzzles at Target...Logan could actually do this one himself and he was very proud!

Doing some wrestling...not as good as Daddy, but we have fun!

"Hold on..."

Logan making Austin laugh...Logan has been really enjoyed Austin lately!

Going for a ride!

Told him to make his goofy face again...

Credit Card Redeeming Points and a Bike Trailer!

So we are eligable to redeem our credit card points and I have a few things in mind that are options. I need your help to decide what to get!

1-Handheld Dyson Vacuum
2-Cobra Handheld Camera/Camcorder
3-BMX bike (i already have a bike)
4-New cooking pots and pans

So that are the things that stick out to me as appealing. What do you all think?

Another awesome thing is that I finally bought a bike trailer/jogging stroller. I had bought a jogging stroller on craigslist a while back, but it was really old and the shade never covered the boys. I was actually able to sell it right again at the same price I bought it...thank God! I have been really wanting a bike trailer to go on the boardwalk with and then i found out you could have 2 in 1! Unfortunately those are VERY expensive. So after some saving and actually finding a cheaper but still comparable one I bought the Croozer 535! I am so pumped! It will be a bike trailer, jogging stroller and regular stroller. All the pieces I need come with it so i didn't have to buy anything extra. It is a very bright green color though...so you won't be able to miss me! HA! Now I will not have an excuse of getting out and getting exercise!

" I Croc myself up!" I love it!

First Blog!

Well, as you know I am joining the blogging community. Yes, I caved...well, actually I have blogged before, but ANYWAYS. I figured this way it is free...and we can share stories about other things than our beautiful children. I felt that the baby website was just for the babes...and well, Mike and I have some fun things to share too! So I hope you enjoy as you can see further into our lives and I pray that we are able to bless others through our trials, joys, and sharing of how the Lord is working in our lives! Again, family and friends that live far away...well, pretty much everyone lives over a hundred miles from us, this can be a way to keep up with us and see what floats our boats! Please feel free to leave comments and create discussions...asks questions and i will be able to answer! Thank you all for taking interest in our simple lives. I hope that we start to live an adventurous life in Christ so you can see His glory and read something exciting someday! Here goes the first blog:

August 13Th...nap time. I finally decided to start this and i am taking a very precious nap time to do it. I have just recently gotten several new books I want to read, but this is fun too. Life is pretty monotonous right now. Wake up and do stuff around the house, nap time which is clean up time, then the boys are up to make more messes and then bed time when i clean up again. It is all such a blessing though. I am enjoying the boys so much lately. Austin is just too cute and so much fun. He is sitting up now and wants to move so bad, but i don't think he will be crawling anytime soon. He smile lights up my day and that happens every few minutes i feel like! He loves to watch logan play still and tries to get all his toys. No teeth yet, but i will be able to start making hims some real food next week! Carrots here they come! I won't get in to the doctor for his 6 month check up until september, but i tried weighing him on the home scale and i got roughly 17 lbs! So that is great...and logan, I have been measuring his height on the door frame and he has grown almost 2 inches since mike left! I can't believe it! Logan has been coming into his own person lately as he has been very defient and ignoring me when i try and discipline or call him to me. I am working on a new disciplining method so please pray for me! I am also learning so much while doing that because i am trying to recite bible verses to him to help him learn to obey, so in turn I am memorizing verses! Isn't it great how the teachers end up learning a thing or two usually? well, i will try and get some pics up because i feel like it has been a while. I will update again later! (funny how this first post is about the kiddos huh?)
