The month of August has come and is almost over. I have never looked forward to the fall so much! Only about 10.5 more weeks until mike comes home. He is starting to get the sense of the end of deployment on his end with the turnover coming up and getting ready for that. Wish we had something like that here for us military wives! I guess just getting ready for them to come home is enough...cleaning and beautifying ourselves right? This past weekend we went and visited some great friends of ours in NC...I got my girl time, Logan got his guy time with her husband, and Austin got held and cuddled all weekend. It was perfect! Austin has been showing very small signs of wanting to crawl. He hasn't gotten up on his knees yet when on his tummy, but lunges forward when sitting up. I have some video that i have to get up for you all from my cell phone. Not much else going on, I have been working on painting some end tables and doing the lawn/weeding and what not. I will have some before and after pictures hopefully soon for you all! Slowly but surely the projects get done!
A verse that has been sticking by me lately and showing up all over for me is
Galatians 6:9 "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up" With parenting, disciplining, guiding, and being a wife/mom in general that has helped me keep going. Hope it encourages you today~~
I went and visited a dear friend in NC...we had a blast with the kiddos and Dakota...their cute
doggie (more pics to come of that)
Logan immediately wanted to sit in the stroller and then he told me to put Austin in there. It was a
doozy to put together, but I felt very empowered afterwards! I can do anything...right?
HAHA Austin kept reaching for Logan's toys and touching Logan...it was pretty funny
The latest flowers that mike sent. And you can see how we keep him "around" even though he is gone with the pictures in the background.
Trying on some sun glasses...he really didn't like it though.
I was doing some cleaning and opened up mike's lunch box for the first time since he left...can't believe i didn't think to check it before! This is after 4 months! The smell was even worse and there was mold growing on the fork that wasn't even touching anything! I should have saved it for him huh?
Love the dollar puzzles at Target...
Logan could actually do this one
himself and he was very proud!
Doing some wrestling...not as good as Daddy, but we have fun!
"Hold on..."
Logan making Austin laugh...Logan has been really enjoyed Austin lately!
Going for a ride!
Told him to make his goofy face again...
