Ausin's first celebration and carseat!

We went to North Carolina this weekend to visit some old (but goodie) friends who will be having their first baby girl soon and to celebrate Austin's Birthday coming up this Thursday. I decided to buy some cupcakes because I have been watching the Cake Boss show and am dying for some bakery made sweets. I got a dozen cupcakes and about 5 different flavors. The flavors were: Happy Birthday, Black and White, Red Hot Velvet, Oreo, and Chocolate Peanut Butter. We still have a couple left over and they are keeping well in our air tight container. Here they are before they were devoured!

I know that we were about 5 days early, but we thought it would be fun turn Austin's carseat around for the drive to NC. Our new van came with a DVD player, so we put a movie on and thought it would be funny to see if Austin would keep the headphones on. He did for a little while, but ended up eating them.

This is now the view from the front seat...my two little grown up boys!

Little men...

Just some random pictures I took lately. Nothing really to say about them! So enjoy!

My almost one year old....

Logan after a much needed haircut. Don't ask me why his bangs are slanted, at the haircutting place they are always straight before we leave! Sorry about the pb and j face.

It had been over 2 months since a hair cut!

We found a local cupcakery and I had gone in to get some for Austin's b-day celebration this weekend and yes, I am a sucker of a mom and got Logan a cupcake.

Got a fever...?

I can't believe that I am admitting this with a one year old, but truly for the past couple months I have been having crazy BABY FEVER! Seriously! I don't know why or how since my dear Austin wasn't the easiest of babies and going from two to three almost sounds scarier than one to two. I attend a MOPS group every other Monday and two of the ladies there have twins that were born in the past 4 months...so the little kiddos tag along in the group and I just sit and stare sometimes! I see Austin's cute feet and chubby cheeks and I am just so in love and infatuated with how incredible and God-made he is! My boys just make me fall in love with them every day and I love the feeling of taking care of them, being needed and also being loved on BY them! I know, i know...all the sleepless nights, crying, not knowing what is wrong, etc...so much that can be thought of negative, but I see it as one of the best challenges ever! Being able to be God's agent in raising them and helping them learn and guide is so wonderful!! ANYWAYS!

Don't worry my dear friends, there won't be another Morris baby on the way any time soon. Mike will be on deployment in less than 9 months and I am not that crazy to have a newborn while he is deployed! While many wonderful and amazing women do it, I probably won't be one of them. However, we all know God's plan is stronger and better than mine! So no...we aren't trying and won't be for a while if we even do. I think this mainly has to do with the fact that Austin is growing up and isn't much of a baby anymore. Just had to air my feelings! I get to go visit a good friend this weekend whom I have been so excitedly waiting for her to have a baby and now she is a little over 8 months pregnant with a little girl. She will have to make sure I don't run away with her little one after she comes into this world! HA! Just kidding...at that point I will be able to be the one handing the baby back when she gets fussy!

Getting ready to celebrate....

...Austin's first birthday! Yup...in a short 2 weeks the little guy will be one years old! I cannot believe that at this time last year I had just finished working a job that was 4 days a week, 9 months pregnant and just dying for that little boy to come out! I remember walking about and hour a day and even running for the last 2 weeks before he made his appearance. We are going to a friends house the weekend before his birthday, so we will celebrate a little with them, and then on the 18th we will have his cake and fun! I am a little gung-ho this year and am going to try and tackle a 3D dinosaur cake. I found the instructions online, and after looking over it, doesn't seem that hard! So we shall see huh? Be waiting for pics of the little birthday guy soon!

Fun Comics...

Try clicking on the comic to make it bigger. This one made me laugh because it was a good reminder of how good we have life right now even though I wipe poop from a butt. I know, i know, as they get older things will get easier, but there is something simple about this phase in life! There is so much to think about as they get older! I mean, I get overwhelmed sometimes just thinking about training Logan and Austin to be Godly men...there is so much that goes into raising children and so much responsibility! Not just making sure they have clothes and food to eat, but love, teachings, guidance, fun, discipline, etc! Most of the time those latter things are more important! For those who have teenagers and children in their later years, I applaud you for not trying to make us revert back to the days in diapers and helping us grow up into adults! You did it!!

You may have to click on it to make it bigger to see, but hopefully you get the idea. I saw this comic and saw my future! My boys are so precious to me and I have a newfound love for them every day! I know it will be fun when they get older, but these days go by too fast sometimes. I have been keeping a journal of cute things said or done so I will have that to look back on and fondly remember these days!

Randomness and updates!

The Morris household had been busy yet productive! Life is "back to normal" with Mike working long hours and the boys home with me. We started a new adventure and go to a free gym on base nearly 3-4 nights a week. The boys play right in front of us in a kiddie area while we run on the treadmills and lift weights!! Logan continues to do well with the potty training and spend all of today in real underwear..McQueen underwear!  He has really gotten into Super heros lately (the Incredibles movie and Spiderman). He called Austin -violet today and Mike -Dash (from the movie). So I decided to make up names for him for the family. Logan is Monster Truck Boy and Austin is Screamer Boy. Still haven't figured out Mike's and my name...any suggestions? The Lord has been pressing on my heart to teach Logan bible stories, lessons and short easy verses. I plan on getting a felt board and making characters to "put on a play" with Logan so he can learn all the adventures and stories in the Bible. It has also caused me to dig deeper into the Word to learn how to teach someone else the lessons that I have learned. Did that make sense?

Running has been going great for me and I actually enjoy it more and more everyday. It is especially fun for me when I get to train with the other girls from my church because we discuss our walks with the Lord and what we have been going through. Definitely makes the runs go by faster! Mike and I plan on training for a half marathon this summer. It is actually the one he did when we first moved here. Now we both will have trained for it and hopefully won't be too bad! Anyways, here are some pictures of what has been happening around here!

Logan put Mike's hat on today...my men look so good in uniform!

Definitely a tough guy!

Austin found the curtains the other day and had a riot playing in them (video to come soon)

Peek a Boo!

Just sitting there waiting for us to find him. Notice the hand towels nearby? Yeah, he spilled the dogs water.

Austin LOVES books! He will be real quiet for a little while and I will go searching for him (because quiet is never good) and he will be sitting there "reading"!

Yes, Logan put the "basket" on Austin...

Made a fort for Logan...

"under there!"

Austin was exhausted after a day of running errands...he stayed asleep on the couch

Not crying over spilled milk...because I was laughing at Otis!!

He was right underneath when Logan spilled his milk.
